These terms govern your use of VoiceRemover at www.voiceremover.app (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
The Service separates the sound of a song or a video into two audio tracks: the vocals, and the instrumental (everything except the vocals). If you choose a video, your browser takes the sound out of it first and only the audio is uploaded. You can play both tracks on the page and download them as MP3; WAV and longer files come with the paid plans. A separated track can keep traces of the other one, especially with reverb, backing vocals or dense mixes. On the background music page, sound effects are removed together with the music.
Separation is done by Demucs, using the htdemucs model (Hybrid Transformer Demucs v4), an open-source music separation model released by Meta’s Facebook AI Research under the MIT license. It runs on fal.ai (Features & Labels Inc.), which processes your audio on our behalf. We combine the separated parts into the instrumental and convert the files to MP3 on our own servers at Cloudflare. We do not use your files to train any model.
Only upload audio you own or have permission to use. You keep every right you have in the files you upload, and we claim no rights in your files or in the separated tracks. Separating a track does not give you any rights in the original recording or song: whether you may publish, perform or sell something made from it depends on the rights in the original. For example, posting a cover or performing in public may need permission from the songwriter, the publisher or the record label. This is the same on the free plan and the paid plans.
Prices are in US dollars. Taxes may be added at checkout.
Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record. Waffo Pancake is the seller of record for tax purposes and handles card details, refunds and chargebacks; we never see your card number. Receipts, invoices and renewal reminders come from Waffo Pancake. Purchases are contracts with Waffo Pancake as the seller of record and are also covered by its terms shown at checkout. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
You may not use the Service:
How we enforce this: we do not listen to your files or review them before processing. Uploaded files are deleted right after processing and results within 24 hours (see the Privacy Policy). We act on reports. To report misuse, email support@voiceremover.app with “Report” in the subject line and the link to the result if you have it. A person reviews every report. We may delete results or close accounts. We may also remove the songs left in a plan without a refund, and report unlawful content to the authorities. If you think we acted on your account by mistake, reply to our email and a person will look at it again.
You don’t need an account for the free plan. To buy Pro or a pack, you sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email; your plan and your songs stay with that account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend accounts used for abuse or fraud.
The Service is provided as is. We don’t guarantee that it is always available or that every separation sounds the way you want; a song whose processing fails is given back. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
We may update these terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new date, and important changes are also emailed to account holders.
